IPFN 5th General Assembly and 3rd Convention Held-

Annual Progress Report and Plans Presented

October 13, Lalitpur-

Interfaith Peace Federation-Nepal (IPFN) held its 5th General Assembly and 3rd Convention today amidst a grand programme in the presence of interfaith leaders, rights activists, media persons, and government officers.

Chaired by IPFN Chair Ram Bhakta Kurumbang Limbu, the chief guest of the programme was National Dalit Commissioner Mr Devraj BK, accompanied by other representatives as special guest.

Held at Siddhartha Cottage Lalirpur, the program started with prayers by the faith leaders.
IPFN Vice-chair Mrs. Seema Khan welcomed the delegates noting that faith leads to good moral character.

General Secretary Dr Mahendra Bhattarai presented annual progress report of the past year, and programmes for the next fiscal year. He so noted his representing IPFN in the international arena where some of the distinctives of the practices of IPFN like prayers by each religious community was well received. In all its programmes and actives, peace and harmony is the end goal of IPFN, he clarified.

On the same occasion, two religious leaders were honoured with appreciation for their contribution to interfaith movement.
