Federation of International Nepali Young Entrepreneurs (FINYE) was formallay inauguarted in a special programme at Hotel Yak & Yeti in Kathmandu today by the former president Dr. Ram Baran Yadav.
Attended by some 200 strong delegates, dignitaries, ambassadors, representatives from Chambers of Commerce, Tourism Board, Film Development Board, Artistes Association, and Entrepreneurs, the programme saw the launching on FINYE as a platform and a network of young entrepreneurs across the globe, repressenting Nepalis from some dozen countries like the UK, USA, Japan, Asutralia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Arab countries, among others.
Addressing the ceremony, Gokarna Awasthi, Deputy Director General -FNCCI, remarked that there are a hundred issues to be addressed, and they have planned to tackle them ina couple years, in liaision with the government and other line agencies, and tendered to collaborate with the young NRN entrepreneurs. He also noted that being sistuated between two countries over a billion population each, Nepal can greatly beneft from them
Similarly, movie director, and the incumbent Chairperson of Film Development Board, suggested there is a huge potential of film tourism industry, and hoped FINYE would us etheir network to bring the international film industry to Nepal as a shooting location.
Former president Dr Ram Baran Yadav bemoaned the lack of conducive policies and failed mechanisms, and expressed the hope that the young entrepreneurs will help prosper the nation. His address can be found here:
Swotantra Pratap Shah, FINYE President gave the vote of thanks, and concluded the programme, after inviting Dr Yadav to felicitate the FINYE officilas from various countries. The event was emceed ably by Sudhan Gnawali, an experienced hand in foreign relations and diplomacy.
FINYE is a global Nepalese entrepreneurs’ group. The objective of FINYE has been to foster closer relationships, networking, ideas sharing, and cooperation among non-resident Nepali communities, facilitate and as well as discuss the investment opportunities in Nepal.
