MAF-Nepal Holds Consultation with Leaders on Persecution

Media Advocacy Forum Nepal (MAF-Nepal) organized a New Year warm-up and pre-planning meeting with various stakeholders including activists, leaders and authors. The meeting focused on the proposed research on the issue of discrimination and persecution in the context of Nepal, and the efforts made in addressing the issue.

Convened by MAF-N chair Bidur Adhikari, and reported by General Secretary Niroj Tolange, the meeting ended with some key decisions and consensus towards bringing the minority and marginalized communities in one place for a combined advocacy effort.

“We are having dialogues and planning for a common platform for rights and responsibility-based approach towards advocacy’, MAF-N chair Adhikari said.

Attended by Authors, I/NGO workers, Media persons, and activists in person and by some virtually, the meeting was held at the office of the entity in Lalitpur.
