Interfaith Peace, Youth Activist Awarded ‘Press Freedom Award’

Interfaith Peace and Youth Activist from Nepal Dr. Piya Ratna Maharjan has been awarded with ‘Press Freedom Award’ amidst a virtual function. “The COVID-19 pandemic has affected many of our programs, but we are doing what we canto encourage and move ahead,”he said.
This Press Freedom Award was given to Dr. Maharjan from International Human Rights Defenders Foundation India and United Nations Peace Keeping Forces Council office South East Asia based in Bangkok On the day of commemorating World Press Freedom Day 2021.
Dr. Maharjan been serving in the capacity of the Founding Chair of TRACK Nepal, President of  International Youth Society, and founding Vice-President of Interfaith Peace federation Nepal (IPFN), to name some.

As one active in interfaith and world peace dialogues, and one who knows how to utilize the media for peace and development, and an encouraging personality to the media fraternity, we extend our hearty congratulations to him!
