Marginalized groups, faith-led parties and movements emerging into a political force?

Some activists trumpeting for unity and clarity

Kathmandu, January 14-

With the unwanted and untoward row over the political commentary and constitutional interpretation made by the minister of Culture, Sudan Kirati, many were shocked to see the cheap populist, demagogue-like and communal color of leaders like Rabi Lamichhane, analysts like Dr. Surendra KC, and innumerable mainstream media persons.

Given the backlash, many publicly criticized the so-called new parties, and even tendered their resignation from parties like RSP.

Many of us have come to the understanding that this name can be a common flag or banner which represents our status as humans and recognition as Nepali citizens:
United Civic Party.

And during the same period, many forces who were already in talks, are reportedly forging into a united political party.

According to an activist and aspiring politician, according to his social posts, many of the campaigns and proposed parries are uniting under a commonly acceptable name.

Let’s take a bold step and move forward in unison under a new banner. Let’s unite and forge now a new civic-centered political force the majoritarian state will be forced to recognize and reckon with. ..

National Liberation Movement, Janajagaran Parry Nepal, Aamul Pariwartan Messiah Party, Dalit Liberation Movement, Republican Party Nepal, Nagarik Adhikar Party, Nepal Dalit Party.

Many of us have come to the understanding that this name can be a common flag or banner which represents our status as humans and recognition as Nepali citizens:

Regarding isms, economic polity and foreign policy- we will strive for striking a dynamic balance in line with the policy of dynamic proximity and economic prosperity.
It may still take a couple months to see a new party born, but the conception is already there, said an important player on condition of anonymity. Many internal leg-pullers and external elements are trying to create rift among us, so we need to be extra vigilant this time, he confided.
It is yet to be seen how enthusiastically the public in general and the faith community in particular will receive the new party, but the activists are pretty passionate.
There seems to be an ample space for such a party which recognizes the diversity of the nation, as well as is progressive and leads to prosperity.
