Christian Media Society gets a new team:

Will work for righteousness and edification of the faith community- Chair Thapa

Lalitpur, March 22-

Christian Media Society Nepal (CMS) has got new executive committee formed in the chairmanship of Bishwas (Ram Hari) Thapa.

The general assembly of CMS held today in Lalitpur has elected a new working committee. A 7-member new working committee has been elected under the chairmanship of Biswas Thapa.
Kumar Abraham has been elected as the vice-chairman, Govinda Kami as the secretary, Nigam Sundas ia the treasurer and Ajay Karki, Nahum Gaha and Sanjay Barma as the members.

Journalist Biswas Thapa, who was unanimously elected as the new working committee chairman of CMS, a joint organization of Christian journalists from all over the country, expressed his commitment to raise the voice of the entire Christian community in a strong manner in the coming days and move forward by making the organization stronger.

Secretary Govinda Kami said that he will continue to raise his voice in favor of the rights of the minority Christian community in the coming days by remaining in the organization.

The Christian Media Society was established in 2073 BS to bring together Christian media houses and media professionals from across the country, to work together on issues of common needs in unity, to raise the voice of the Christian community, to empower Christian media, and to organize Christian media professionals working across the country.

But the society could not function the way it was expected as the officials did not act very actively, and other groups like ICM, MAF Nepal and later CJF were formed.
