Interreligious National Roundtable Conference-2025 starts tomorrow-
Expectations high on the Eve of the event while infiltrations feared!

Kathmandu, September 7-
Interreligious National Roundtable Conference-2025 is going to be held tomorrow with the participation of all faith communities across the board. According to the public invitation message, the program will kick start at 2:00 pm at National Convention Center, aka Rashtriya Sabha Griha- a prime location downtown Kathmandu, adjacent to Mahendra Police Club.
A 81 member central organizing committee was formed last weeks, though the core committee was formed in July, whereas talks with various faith groups had already begun in March by the visionary and patron of the Conference Constituent Assembly Member Honorable Vishweshwar Paswan. Hon’ble Paswan then brought key faith leaders together, working closely with Bhab Ghale the National Coordinator of UNNCC.
In the interim the pace of the preparation got some stuck, and some feared infiltration by extremist elements like RSS from the south, and compromised characters who profit off the persecution upon the minority communities- a source disclosed on the condition of anonymity.
Today, on the eve of the Conference, UNNCC organized an all-party meeting to collect any final suggestions from the Christian community- a last ditch effort really – to compensate for the fact that the lead responsibility undertaken by the legal and political department of NCS practically ended up by-passing or leaving many would be contributors uninformed about the larger meetings.

Many useful and insightful remarks and suggestions were made including sensitivity to the language and spirit, long-term plan for using the Conference for true peace and harmony, and the need for divine wisdom in the zeal to bring about reforms which may end of causing backlash instead.
