IPFN Half-yearly Review held with Stakeholders

- Progress Report, Challenges, Lesson Learned, & Way Forward Deliberated

Interfaith Peace Federation-Nepal (IPFN) held its half-yearly review with its execitive board, advisors, and representatives from the media and advocacy today in a programme in Lalitpur.

As is customary to its very nature, the programme started with prayers from the respective leaders of the representated faith communities, followed by a welcome remark by the General Secretary Dr. Mahendra Bhattarai.

Them programme officer Bimala Shrestha presented a comprehensive progress report which included various activities undertaken at the local, provincial and federal levels. Among them were seminars on the role of faith leaders in addressing Gender-based Violence, COVID-19 response, interfaith harmony, socio-cultural cohesion, rights of the minorities, mental health, to name some.

Then she also presented the challenges faced, lessons learned and way forward/future plan of action, followed by financial report by Ratina Shrestha, IPFN Admin and Finance Officer.

The stakeholders then provided feedbacks, made queries, observed necessary improvements, and also made commitments for more availability and accessibility on their parts.

Newly appointed Board of Advisors were also recognized, and their valuable contribution was sought after as they are seasoned leaders in their community and field of expertise.

“Within three years of its founding, IPFN has been able to accomplish so much, it will make lasting impacts for peace and prosperity in the nation- it’s like morning shows the day”- remarked one of the attendees.
