Nepal hit by Floods and Landslides; Capital Valley suffers great loss of lives-
NCRS endorsed as the Window for Rescue, Relief and Rehabilitation

Lalitpur, September 30-
An emergency meeting called by UNNCC (United National Nepal Church Council) at United Vision Nepal meeting hall, facilitated by Bhab Bahadur Ghale and chaired by Prem Subba – National Coordinator and Chair of UNNCC respectively- has called for a unified and coordinated rescue relief and rehabilitation effort from the faith community.

Attended by over forty representatives and chiefs of various organization, movements, parties and media persons, the meeting, in compliance with the Government of Nepal’s expressed desire and policy of one window policy even at the execution level, has endorsed NCRS (Nepal Christian Relief Services) as the entity to be used for the relief works.
Representatives included Mrs Draupadi Rokaya of Nepal Mahila Bishwashi Sangh, Advisors Uttam Kumar Pariyar and DR. KB Rokaya, NCRS Executive Director Romi KC, Arjun Kumar Mendies, Tej Jirel, APNP Deputy Chair Jit Bahadur Ghale, CCN Secretary and APNP Deputy General Secretary Bidur Adhikari, and many others, who pledged their support.
Accordingly, a press release published today, signed by UNNCC Chair, National Coordinator, and NCRS E.D., has asked all stakeholders to provide the data, statistics and information regarding the flood and landslide victims, need and situation across the country.
As the nation suffers and mourns the loss of lives, homes and livelihood, head of the government is away, and the Home Ministry has failed in responding proportionately; when people are flooded by Nakhu Khola in the capital city itself.
