United Civic Party duly registered at Election Commission:
Now the time to finalize unification- Chair Dal Mardan Kami

Kathmandu, March 21-
United Civic Party, which was merged with and then got the name of Social Unity Party, has been registered at the Election Commission of Nepal, the party source informed the Post.

The merger and change of name was approved last month only, the sourced who wanted to remain unnamed told our reporter.
UCP has adopted “All-Ethnicity Inclusive Social Democracy” as its guiding philosophy, and has already held unification declaration with Aamool Pariwartan Republican Party (Drastic/Radical Change republican Party) on August 26 last year.
But legally the unification has not be materialized as first UCP needed to change SUP. Also, the Election Commission has directed the party to make some changes in its logo like removing the paddy sheaf.
Now that the legal process of UCP registration is completed, its right time for UCP and APRP to go to the Commission for unification, UCP Chair Dal Mardan Kami informed the post.
At a time when the nation is bugged down in corruption, inefficiency and fears of regression, the party has been expected by the faith and Dalit community as well as a sizeable progressive faction as the beacon of hope and leadership in the vacant center right arena with righteous agenda.
