Ps. Ganga & Bina Tamang celebrated their 40th wedding and ministry anniversary yesterday amidst a function attended by some 200 strong leaders and family members.
Pastor Ganga was the very first Nepal Bible School’s Student, Lamogara Church’s very first reformer, founder of Lamogara Children Home and served in Children Ministry as Hope Children Home- Naya Dhoka. Seasoned social ministers in the field of Children Ministry, Founders of Children Hope Mission, USA, Ganga and Bina have been a great influence to many, Revd. Samuel Sodemba said while sharing from the Word of God from 1 Corinthians 13:13.
A bio-pic based on their life and minsitry titled “A Journey of Faith”- written and directed by the scribe was also screened on the occasion to the plaudits of the attendees.
Also, a Souvenir was released by the respected senior guests and some were honoured with words of appreciation inscribed in beautiful frames. “People deliver wonderful, teary eulogies at the coffin of the deceased one, but never speak a word of encouragement while one was alive, which could have helped one in doing good. But I don’t want to do so, therefore I honour some fo my mentors and leaders while they are still allive,’ Ganga clarified.
Ganga has published a book titled “Our Responsibility in Child Development” in 2017, and now plans to release its second edition along with another book containing his life story.
The attendees were challenged, encouraged and sobered by the life story of the couple. It was really blessed to hear from and about the seasoned leaders, tehir struggles and relationships.
Presently, Ps Ganga is shepherding Praising God Church in, Oakland, California. His heart for the children and the needy has led him to conduct the campaign “One penny one child”, so that the most needy children may have education support.
