Family and Nation under erasure: Dr KB Rokaya –
Ethical values must be retained!

Addressing a mass gathering organized by Rashtriya Nagarik Sangharsha Samiti on March 8 at Birgunj, Dr. KB Rokaya bemoaned that Nepal’s very existence as a nation is under threat. He exposed how the same sex marriage and LGBTQ agenda is being imposed on the nation, and how family and ethical values are eroding.
Out of some 210 countries in the world, only 36 have legally recognized same sex marriage in some way or other. Nepal became the first Asian country, saving Taiwan which is not recognized as a sovereign nation, followed by Thailand to accept same sex.
Now very soon there will be no family, family relationships like father and mother, sons and daughters, grandfathers and grad mothers, etc, Dr Rokaya painted a bleak picture.
He thanked the organizers for raising the slogan of “Save the family”.
The issue has been secretly smuggled in, and court directives have been given to make provision for same sex, third gender and change of gender identity at will by any one who claims.
There was virtually no public and concerted voice critical of the agenda until last year when MAF Nepal organized the very first public interaction program at the Reporter’s Club where Dr Rokaya was one of the speakers among other faith leaders, advocates and social leaders. 
Similarly, APNP/(United Civic Party) also organized a mass vigilance and demonstration program at Maitighar Mandal on October 30, 2024, against abortion, same sex marriage and transgenderism.
It’s good that political parties, fronts, civic society organizations, faith leaders and activists are slowly but surely waking up and confronting this radical and potentially destructive ideology that is being imposed in the name of inclusion and equality while real injustice and exclusion is not addressed.
