APRP and UCP unite into Aamool Pariwartan Nagarik Party after months of deliberations-

Unification between Aamool Pariwartan Republican Party (APRP) and Sanyukta Nagarik Party (UCP) declaration mass assembly was held on August 26 at Siddhartha Cottage in Lalitpur in the presence of over a thousand delegates, party ranks, denominational heads and representatives of networks and federations. The united party has been named Aamool Pariwartan Nagarik Party (APNP- Radical Change Civic Party), jointly led by Dal Mardan Kami as the first and executive chair whereas Bharat Giri serves as the Second Chair and the Spokesperson of the party, a source privy to the party Executive Committee divulged on the condition of anonymity.
The programme kick-started with playing the theme song of the party, penned by chair Dal Mardan Kami. Then emcee of the starting part Deputy General Secretary Bidur Adhikari took to the podium, greeting the assembly with “Jay Pahichan, Jai Swatatrata, Jay Nagarik, jai Ekata”. He also quoted from two Scriptures, namely, Amos 5:24 -“let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” and the need for a unified political force discerning signs of the time (1 Chronicles 12:32) and Matthew 16:3), as well as a God-fearing leadership that submits to the Divine Sovereignty.
Out of over 1000 attendees, with over 200 Guests, Special Guests and Distinguished Guests, the dais was too small to accommodate the guests; the emcee Deputy General Secretary Bidur Adhikari had to spend over half an hour in acknowledging the guests and getting them seated.”
Radical Change Republican Party President Bharat Giri and United Citizen Party President Dalmardan Kami jointly inaugurated the party unity program by lighting a lamp in Panas. Ethnic activist and pro-identity leader Angkaji Sherpa, former Ambassador Dr. Nirmal Bishwakarma, Vice President of Viveksheel Sajha Party, Prakashchandra Pariyar, President of Pro-Idenity Front Prof. Dr. Mahendra Lawati, President of C.W.N. Mitra Pariyar, former judge Dr. Saladin Akhtar, Revd. Hanok Tamang, Christian leaders Revd. Dr. Simon Pandey, Honor’ble Dr. K.B. Rokaya, Revd. Ishu Jung Karki, UCP Senior Leader Kamal Devi Hemchuri and others addressed and congratulated the party for unification.
Addressing the event, party chair Dal Mardan Kami claimed that since this unity is a unity of spirit and truth, no force can thwart it. Similarly, second president Bharat Giri claimed that since only spiritual materialism can change this country, the parties that agree with the agenda of spirituality will move forward by uniting.
The speakers were at odds with one another as some vehemently decried the ostensibly religious or faith-based nature of the party wile others criticized it for not being blatantly religious in displaying its faith-based character! Some advised the leadership to be ideologically more pointed and clear while others emphasized the need for organizational expansion and activism on issues and agenda.

Some criticized such a showy and lengthy list of guests whereas others appreciated it as a great policy of getting the endorsement from across all denominations!
Meanwhile, along with the declaration of “Radical Change Civic Party,” a 121-member Central Working Committee including 37 officials has also been declared with the following office bearers.
